Water Services and Technologies ended its week of courses on Friday with the Flow Modeling and Transport of Contaminants in Groundwater course, which took place from May 15th to 17th.
In the course, it was demonstrated the facilities for building numerical models through conceptual modeling, which allows the representation of local geology, the location of wells and other boundary conditions, only then to build the necessary mesh for the execution of the numerical model.
The Visual MODFLOW Flex software was used, it allows the creation of regular and irregular, unstructured meshes, for modeling of flow and transport of contaminants. We thank all participants in the course for the exchange of experiences and interest in the topic.
Still in May, the sequence of courses from Water Services and Technologies continues with the courses offered in Belo Horizonte: 2D / 3D Geotechnical Modeling for applications in Mining and the Environmental Hydrogeochemistry and Groundwater Monitoring course.
