Groundwater Modeling Course – Costa Rica

This week Water Services and Technologies offered an advanced course for more than 20 hydrogeologists in San José, Costa Rica, where Dr. Nilson Guiguer, passed on our experience on how the FEFLOW mathematical model can help solve hydrogeological problems relevant to that country, such as: complex geology, fractured rocks, saline intrusion, geothermal flow and transport of contaminants through saturated and unsaturated areas. We would like to thank ACREH, Costa Rican Association of Water Resources and Environmental Sanitation, and CIC, Colégio de Ingenieros Civiles de Costa Rica for the invitation and opportunity for this exchange of knowledge, To Ing. Mario Garcia for assisting in the classes, and to DHI for the assignment licenses.
