Water Services and Technologies is participating today, 9/19/2019, in Brasilia, as a guest speaker at the International Technical Cooperation Exhibition, promoted by IICA – Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture. This study, developed by WST, in partnership with Embasa (Empresa Baiana de Saneamento), aimed to determine the water resources available at Reconcavo Bahiano, and was presented to serve as a model for similar studies. The Minister for Regional Development, Executive Secretaries of the Ministry of Citizenship and Agriculture, authorities and technicians from various government agencies and sanitation companies were present. The study was a pioneer in the development of a geological, structural and hydrogeological model for the region using data from oil exploration wells, structural mapping and water well data. Among the main conclusions, we highlight the renewable water potential still available to supply this important region. Which includes the Metropolitan Region of Salvador, Camaçari and other municipalities, through the Marizal São Sebastião Aquifer System.
