NICOLE.org (Network for Industrially Co-ordinated sustainable Land management in Europe) is a network that fosters cooperation between industry, academia and service providers to promote sustainable technologies in the management of contaminated areas. Among its activities, NICOLE promotes several events to disseminate knowledge and advance on the understanding of best practices in the sector.
After the success of the first panel of debates on sustainable remediation, in which the president of Water Services and Technologies, Nilson Guiguer, participated (you can access it here), NICOLE Latin America organized another debate, this time on Modeling in the Management of Contaminated Areas . Mathematical models are increasingly present in projects for the management of contaminated areas, being important allies in decision-making processes.
Nilson Guiguer has more than 30 years of experience with Groundwater Modeling and is the author of several groundwater software packages used worldwide, such as Visual MODFLOW, Flowpath and Airflow / SVE as well as data interpretation and visualization packages such as HydroGeoAnalyst, Visual Wells and SIAGAS Web.
The event will take place on July 23, from 12 pm to 1:30 pm and will also be attended by Marcelo Sousa, who will bring more information about how modeling is being applied in the Brazilian market and Daniel Gomes, with a vision of the foreign market, specifically within the scope of regional sites and industries.
