Environmental and Hydrogeological Data Management Applied to Mining

This webinar aims to show the best data management practices in an integrated manner, from data capturing to report production, including validation, quality control, visualization and automation of activities. This approach allows complex analysis to ensure compliance with environmental regulations and to bring stakeholders and decision-makers to the same level.
The following topics is covered:
- Integrated data management importance and best practices;
- Data collection and importation in a semi-automated and/or automated way;
- Visualization of well profiles, cross sections and maps;
- Generation of customized and automated graphs and reports.
Β
All of these tools are used in an integrated manner to allow a complete understanding of your project more dynamic and completely.
The software presented at the webinar, HydrogeoAnalyst, is being used by many large mining companies such as Vale, Nexa Resources, AngloGold, and CBMM.
A partnership between Water Services and Technologies and Waterloo Hydrogeologic offers this webinar
Presented by:
Sophia Varela
A sanitary and environmental engineer who graduated from the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC), she works in the environmental and data management area at Water Services and Technologies. Her area of experience includes projects to implement data management systems and environmental studies of surface and groundwater. She also works on hydrogeological numerical modeling, such as modeling coastal aquifers and salt wedge intrusion. He is currently studying for a master’s degree in Environmental Engineering at UFSC, in hydrochemical modeling to evaluate nitrogen transformations in reuse water infiltration systems.
