I Workshop on Hydrogeochemistry in the Context of Mining
1st Hydrogeochemical Workshop in the Context of Mining brings together more than 50 experts in Belo Horizonte
On November 22, Water Services and Technologies held its last exclusive workshop of 2023.
This time, more than 50 experts gathered in Belo Horizonte (MG) to discuss the most innovative aspects of Hydrogeochemistry in the Mining Context.
The program featured innovative content and an exchange of experiences, highlighting the services and projects that Water Services and Technologies develops and applies.
Important and current issues in the field of Hydrogeochemistry were discussed, such as:
- Hydrogeochemistry in Environmental Management;
- Management of contaminated areas;
Effluent Treatment; - Geochemical Tests for Evaluating Chemical Mine Drainage;
- Effective Management of Hydrogeochemical Data;
- Advanced Hydrogeochemical Numerical Modeling;
- Contaminant Transport Modeling (FEFLOW + PHREEQC)
According to Julia Dantas, a representative from AngloGold Ashanti, the event was very rich, as attendees had the opportunity to access experienced professionals, as well as other companies, to discuss bottlenecks that are common in the daily lives of those who work with hydrogeochemistry in mining.
Suelen Segui, a representative of Seival Sul Mineração, traveled more than 2,000 kilometers to attend the Water Services and Technologies event.
“The solutions presented really caught my attention, especially with regard to managing an integrated database that is always available for strategic decision-making,” she said.
The event also featured a lecture by Dr. Fernando Vilela, from Campo Análises, who spoke about Geochemical Tests for Evaluating Chemical Mine Drainage.
We would like to thank the more than 50 representatives from various clients who took part in the event and enriched the discussions.
