For more than 20 years, AquaChem has been a leading tool in its field and now it has become even more complete: Aquachem 12.0 has just been released, bringing many new features. Among them, this version enables direct integration with resources from the geochemical modeling program developed by the United States Geological Survey (USGS), PHREEQC.
According to Lara Lange, a geologist at Water Services and Technologies, hydrogeochemical simulations have become an important tool in the mining industry in recent years and are an important part of hydrogeochemical studies.
“For this reason, having a tool that enables not only the analysis, but also the development of hydrogeochemical models, allows for greater quality, robustness and reliability for the results,” she explains.

Lara points out that by using analysis tools that cover a variety of functions and calculations for analyzing, interpreting and comparing hydrochemical data, the user will be able to optimize their time and dedicate effective efforts to their results.
“In addition, the user will have an extensive gallery of geochemical graphs, statistical analysis, QA/QC tools, a map module, integration with the R language and other important possibilities,” he says.
