2024 Retrospective: Water Services and Technologies Reaffirms Technical Excellence and Celebrates International Impact

In 2024, we reaffirmed our excellence in hydrogeology, aqueous geochemistry, and advanced modeling, while expanding our expertise in data management and technology for mining and water management sectors.

We optimized our clients’ workflows and the way we deliver our projects, launching products such as:

WST Fielder: Facilitates the digitization and organization of activities related to the collection and monitoring of environmental, hydrogeological, and hydrochemical information conducted in the field.

WST Fetcher: Optimizes the automated and efficient collection of data from various sources, integrating it into environmental, hydrogeological, or operational management systems. This reduces the need for manual input while ensuring greater accuracy and agility in data processing.

Integrator: Enables connection, integration, and automation of data flows between different systems, platforms, and devices used in environmental monitoring, hydrogeological, and resource management projects.

Visual Water Balance 2.0: A solution for managing and visualizing water balances, supporting the optimization of water usage, reduction of waste, and risk assessment in industrial and mining operations. Version 2.0 introduces features such as a more intuitive and customizable interface, integration with sensors and systems like Power BI, simulation of operational scenarios, optimized processing for large data volumes, and advanced monitoring of sustainable practices.

Commercial BI Dashboards: Interactive and customized dashboards designed to support the strategic and operational management of the company’s commercial activities. These Business Intelligence (BI) tools consolidate and present key information, enabling detailed data analysis to support strategic decision-making.

We have established the Water Resources Management Division, focusing on operational water balance, water security, sustainability, and operational performance indicators.

In 2024, we achieved the IKUS International Green Seal for Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance, solidifying our position as a leader in environmental matters and a reference in the water and environmental sector in Brazil and worldwide.

Our initiatives and deliverables gained global recognition, featured in over 35 platforms both nationally and internationally. Notably, Valor Econômico (Brazil) highlighted how water resource management is strategic for mining companies and essential for achieving ESG goals and ensuring business continuity.

We have strengthened our international presence through our subsidiaries in Canada and Kazakhstan, with a significant footprint in Eurasia and the Middle East.

We remain committed to our mission of sharing knowledge, offering webinars, customized and open courses, in-person and online training sessions, workshops, and participating in various congresses, fairs, and conferences. These efforts have impacted over 7,000 professionals and students in Brazil and worldwide.

Our team participated in key events related to water, the environment, and ESG, including the FEFLOW Conference (Germany), the National Water Fair, and the Brazilian Groundwater Congress (São Paulo). We also delivered presentations at prestigious events such as the Brazilian Geology Congress (Belo Horizonte) and conducted training sessions in Kazakhstan and Saudi Arabia.

Additionally, we hosted in-person workshops in Belo Horizonte (Minas Gerais) and Parauapebas (Pará), bringing together partners and clients. On the digital front, we organized over 15 webinars in Brazil and Canada, further expanding our reach and impact.

We also shared knowledge about groundwater with elementary school children when our CEO, Dr. Nilson Guiguer, visited the Colégio de Aplicação at the Federal University of Santa Catarina (UFSC). During the event, Dr. Guiguer inspired the students, sparking their interest in the world of science and technology applied to water management.

In terms of social responsibility, we contributed to donation campaigns for clothing, warm garments, and hygiene items to support victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul. Additionally, we organized donation drives with our employees to benefit social institutions in Florianópolis (SC) and Belo Horizonte (MG), the cities that host our offices in Brazil.
On a voluntary basis, we assisted in mitigating the water crisis caused by the floods in the Porto Alegre (RS) region. Focusing on emergency solutions, we worked to identify wells outside flood-affected areas to meet the urgent demand for water. Through this initiative, we reaffirmed our commitment to supporting the well-being of communities and overcoming the challenges posed by environmental crises.

We extend our gratitude to everyone who supports us: our clients, partners, suppliers, and especially our team, who demonstrate every day what it truly means to be a team united by purpose and excellence #DreamTeam
