We are pleased to announce that this week we began operations at Water Services and Technologies Canada, Inc. located in the Kitchener-Waterloo region, Canada’s most dynamic technology center.
We are thus expanding our international activities, offering services and technologies in the field of hydrogeology, hydrogeochemistry, hydrogeotechnics and environmental data management for the mining, sanitation and general industrial sectors.
Aschalew (Chalew) Debebe will serve as Operations and Technology Director, and Martin Draeger as Business Development and Marketing Director.
Both bring extensive experience in the environment, technology and water resources sectors.
“We will use Canada as a business platform not only for North America, but also for other countries. Water Services and Technologies offers world-class services and we will rely on the group of experts based in Brazil, Kazakhstan and Peru to carry out projects,” says Chalew.

Water Services and Technologies also develops technologies for the rational use of water resources and for environmental data management.
One of the tools with great international appeal is Visual Water Balance, an operational water balance monitoring and control system, which has been adopted by large mining companies to aid decision-making and to optimize the generation of sustainability reports within their ESG policies.
“Having already started a company in Canada, Waterloo Hydrogeologic, which had great worldwide recognition with software development, consulting services and training, I feel that this expansion in Waterloo, where I lived for 20 years, is a return to my roots.Β Now, with the accumulated experience and a highly skilled team of partners and collaborators, I have no doubt that we will succeed in this new endeavor,” says Nilson Guiguer, CEO of Water Services and Technologies.
